Automated cutting systems like computer numerically
controlled (CNC) operations utilize vacuum table systems to ensure consistent accuracy during cutting applications. Plotter cutter processes typically require a
heavy-duty vacuum pump to hold substrates firmly in place. Vacuum pumps may be designed with activation
of specific zones to enhance vacuum pressure where needed.
When cutting fabrics, a sacrificial layer may be used to help
hold the fabric in place while cutting and discarded after. Sacrificial layers may be make of PVC, Porex,
polypropylene or any high-density polyethylene (HDPE), and are designed with
matching holes to not reduce any vacuum suction.
Automated plotter cutter systems are typically used when
manufacturing large cut fabrics such as boat sails, which require the use of a
standard blade. When cutting through
sturdy material such as carbon fiber, a carbide blade may be required. Most plotter cutter systems use a rotary
blade that easily cuts through fabric without pushing it down, such as a 28mm
blade.
Automated Vacuum Cutting Systems by
Systematic Automation
Systematic Automation has over 35 years of experience in
designing, engineering and manufacturing vacuum table systems which lead the industry in
flatness. Our vacuum tables boast +/-
.001” per linear foot, even in large oversized vacuum system. Our standard size tables are available in
smaller sizes such as 5” x 6” all the way up to 72” x 144”. Tables that are larger that 48” x 48” require
added support beyond the standard design of 4 points to maintain precision
flatness.
Systematic Automation offers custom designed solutions
along with advanced engineering features such as a Formica table top to aid
processes with conductivity issues, anodizing for added insulation and
corrosion resistance, custom designed bases for any size or shape along with
custom hold patterns to fit your application.
Systematic Automation manufactures
screen printing machines, vacuum tables, flame treatment systems and UV curing
solutions all with advanced, effective technology yet in simple to operate
models. We provide ongoing customer support and technical assistance to ensure
your total success. Contact us today to
