Adhesion Improved with Flame Treatment Machine

Flame treatment machines are used in several industrial processes to improve the adhesion quality of many products, particularly plastics.  The exterior surface of plastic is a nonporous exterior which makes it difficult for coatings, adhesives and inks to adhere to the surface.  Flame treatment equipment is useful to alter the exterior surface of plastic in a pretreatment process which will improve the adhesion with other materials.
Flame treatment improves many industrial processes worldwide as a fast, efficient and cost-effective method of treating plastic products for better adhesion, and for treating plastic components used in critical applications to ensure a product free of fibers, dust, oil or other exterior contaminants.
Flame Treating Cylindrical Products
Flame treating cylindrical plastic or glass products is extremely efficient when using a cylindrical flame treater with rotating platens.  Coffee mugs in metal or plastic, glass bottles, growlers, and even odd shaped three-dimensional parts can be flame treated at once with the versatile Model FL by Systematic Automation.  Our flame treater provides 360° cure, with rotating vacuum platens to hold your product firmly in place while rotating for all over cure.
Bottle Treater for Flame Treatment, Pyrosil or UV Curing
Systematic Automation manufactures the most versatile bottle treating machine available, providing one system for Flame, Pyrosil or UV curing, or a hybrid system that utilizes the Ultra Light UV Curing system in addition to flame treatment.  This provides a turn-key solution with pretreatment and posttreatment curing solutions.
Systematic Automation leads the industry in manufacturing flame pretreatment machines, UV curing posttreatment machines, screen printers and vacuum tables.  We have over 35 years of experience in designing, engineering, and manufacturing automated machines to enhance industrial processes.  All machines are built in the US and tested rigorously for quality performance prior to shipping.
Systematic Automation is an industry leader in designing and manufacturing screen printing machines, flame treatment machines, UV curing systems and vacuum tables.  We provide custom designed solutions with full service and support after installation.  Contact us today to speak with a knowledgeable engineer and learn more about our proven solutions for flame treatment machines.

Considerations for Choosing the Right Vacuum Pump

Vacuum tables are used in many commercial and industrial processes to hold down a wide variety of items during additional processes.  The type of vacuum pump you choose for your table depends upon many factors, including the type of part or substrate, and several other considerations.  It is helpful to have an understanding of the technology behind the force in vacuum tables when choosing the right type of vacuum pump.
Many people think that an increased horsepower in vacuum force is better, no matter what.  An increase in horsepower will not necessarily yield a better process, but it will increase your electric bill for sure.  The question is, just how much vacuum force do you need for your process?
One important consideration when designing your vacuum system is the surface area of your part and the table.  Large parts such as sheets of aluminum or metal would not require as much vacuum as smaller or odd shaped parts.   Small parts require stronger vacuum force to securely hold your part in place.  The contact surface area between the vacuum holes and the object is a key consideration.
The friction between your vacuum table surface and the substrate is of important consideration when choosing the proper vacuum pump.  A slippery table surface will allow your part or substrate to move regardless of the vacuum force, whereas a non-slippery surface should hold your part firmly in place with adequate vacuum force applied.
Air permeability of your object is another very important factor that directly affects the amount of vacuum force needed.  Canvas or paper products with greater air permeability will require more vacuum force than a sheet of metal.
Systematic Automation Offers Vacuum Pumps and Tables Designed to Your Process
